Shaping Your Eyebrows - The New Rules

Shaping Your Eyebrows - The New Rules

A decade or so ago, you used to see thin, expertly drawn lines as eyebrows. Those days are over. Today, we consider beautifully shaped eyebrows to be thick - but neat and slightly sculpted.
Your eyebrows are one of the things you should pay a lot of attention to. Not only are they one of the first things that people see, but these hair lines are also something that can either make or break your look. The tricky part is that people don't even know they're focusing on your eyebrows - they will simply think you look like a well-kept person (or a bit of a slob), which is why it's so important to spend some time maintaining your eyebrows' shape every few weeks or so.
The hairs closest to your nose
Your first step is to determine where your eyebrows should begin. Take an eyeliner pencil and hold it vertically against your nostril. The point where the tip of the pencil meets your eyebrow is where the line should begin. Carefully pluck away the hairs between your eyebrows. If you've got an excessive amount of hair between your eyebrows (sometimes referred to as a "unibrow") you might want to use wax.
The arch of your eyebrows
Take the eyeliner and hold it up against your nostril. Now move the pencil towards your eyebrows. The arch of your eyebrow should be where the pencil meets the outer part of the color of your eye. Many women are surprised when they realize they've been making the arch way too close to their nose or too close to the outside of their eyebrows - use this trick to know exactly where the arch should be!
Use a pencil to perfect your brows
Do not make the mistake of using an eyeliner to fill in your brows. Eyeliners are often too thick to cover up patches in your brows. Rather use a thick or thin eyebrow pencil (depending on your eyebrows) to perfect your shape.
Tips for curly eyebrows
If you've got curly eyebrow hairs, you will often find gape or holes within your brows (or hairs sticking out from the lines you are trying to create). Instead of plucking each curly hair - which could thin out your brows too much - rather grab a tiny pair of scissors to cut away any runaway hairs.
Avoid over-plucking
Most women have over-plucked their eyebrows at one point or another. A great tip to avoid over-plucking is to focus on only plucking one hair at a time. If you grab a few hairs with a tweezer, you can accidentally create bald patches and pluck more hairs than intended.
Condition Brows
Conditioning brows nightly will not only help to keep brows hydrated, however, a brow serum is designed to promote the appearance of fuller eyebrows and thicker eyebrows. Try Brow Relong it has a guarantee to work.
